Friday Five

1. Life here is pretty boring, unless you count the fact that Landon is going to have to repeat the same swim class as he refuses to do any type of floats or put his head under the water. Basically they are going to tell me in a nice way that he failed. He still likes the class but I pulled him out of the next round we have him signed up for as there were no spots left in the class I now have to register him for.

2. I am becoming more and more like my Dad. I have argued with people at Superstore about prices twice and probably combined only got back a couple dollars. I even contemplated picking up the pile of empty water bottles at the park but somebody else did it before I had a chance and I was actually mad. If I start picking up glasses that people leave outside of bars when they go out to smoke please help me.

3. My house is behind schedule and my guess even more behind schedule due to this week of rain. One day I want to live in the house I bought.

4. Still haven't decided what to do about the bed. I think the forerunner for solutions is to just go buy a split queen box spring for $200. We could buy a king but I can think of things I'd rather do with that money right now - like go on a cruise. I really want to go on a trip just Jarrett and I, don't know if that will happen with Jarrett being up north, waiting to get in our house, not knowing when we'll move in and now a wedding in October (Jarrett's sister got engaged - it's kinda crazy that last last sibling to get married were us on both sides and that was five years ago). Only one of those is a fun thing

5. I celebrated my birthday last weekend and Jarrett did gooood. I usually get so excited for my birthday that sometimes it doesn't live up to the hype. this weekend lived up to the hype and more. Jarrett made it a whole weekend affair and it was great, the boy even cleaned the bathroom for me. That's only like the 3rd time in our marriage he's cleaned the bathroom. Plus I got books - which I'm saving for our trip to Oregon with Jarrett's family. I need something to read at the beach. definitely looking foreword to that trip, it's the bright spot on my horizon

So funny that you're becoming your dad. Scanning Code of practice is my favorite for getting money back. I think of him every time I pick up an empty bottle.

Oh, to have a clean bathroom that you didn't have to scrub. Pure luxury.

On our recent trip to California, I have to say, I LOVED coming back to the hotel at the end of the day and having fresh towels, and made beds waiting for me.
