1. We went away for the weekend but have a super lack of pictures as our batteries were dead in the camera and when we went to change them we only had 3 instead of 4. Then when we finally bought batteries (real expensive gas station ones, I might add) we forgot to bring the camera.
2. We spent the first 2 days of our weekend away visiting my sister Michelle and her Family. When we were talking with Landon about the cousins he visited he kept on having to add we visited Bad (Brad) and chelle (Michelle). We had a ton of fun there celebrating valentine's day with them by making pizzas. Landon for some reason was always scared of Roxy at dinner time, he was fine with here for any other meal but dinner with Roxy with just scary for him.
3. We then went to Fairmont with Jarrett's family. We just kinda hung out as neither of us ski and I personally think it is a real expensive sport ( I added up the cost of rentals and a ski pass and basically told Jarrett he couldn't go - he was fine with it). We did go bowling, which Landon loved, it was a sport with balls making it a good one in our books. I won for our Lane and got 3 strikes, only one used the bumpers ( the advantage of playing with a 2 year old). Landon got to go swimming which he loves. Jarrett was the only one in our little family that went to the Hot Springs, it was 7 30 pm and Landon was near meltdown, so I stayed to put him to bed.
4. I got a new calling. It was bittersweet to be released from Primary - I loved the calling but had felt like a change was coming. I am scared out of my mind of my new calling. I'm the Enrichment Leader. I'm pretty sure I was called while I was gone, at least I was suppose to, I've had the calling for a month but due to some miscommunication they hadn't called me in church. If anyone has any good ideas I'll take them. I get to start with the big activity of the year the March 17th Party, luckily the Enrichment counselor is super good.
5. I'm starting to feel the stress that everyone working in the oilfield is feeling in this recession. I never thought I'd actually pray for the price of oil to go up. Luckily Jarrett still had his job though his company has let a lot of people go. I'm trying to be positive but it's been hard as Jarrett has had to work some extra days lately.

Wow, that is a lot in a five for friday. Sounds like your holidays were fun.
Good luck in your new calling - you'll be great, I am sure.
And yes, I think everyone is starting to feel the pinch in the recession. I feel lucky to have Dirk still have his job, but who knows what this economy will bring? Scarey.
