Landon learned two new tricks in one night - climbing out of his crib and opening doors. This lead to a need for change in our household. So, we moved Landon into his big boy bed, can you find him in the picture below, it's kinda a big bed for a little guy but it's what we got. The picture sucks due to the lamp Landon likes to turn on before he goes to bed. We are still having some problems as Landon never has gone right to bed, he always sits and talks to himself for a little while. We fixed most of the problem by getting a cover on the door knob so he can't get out. This came after Landon wouldn't go to bed til 3 30 am Saturday night, luckily since we couldn't do anything about it on Sunday he was so exhausted from lack of sleep.
The funniest thing about this whole situation was a couple of days before this I asked Jarrett when we would take Landon out of his crib and Jarrett's answer was "Maybe in a year". Obviously his son had a different plan.

That is a big bed for your big boy! I hope he adjusts well.
We have a childproof thingy on the inside of Maxwell's room too. Is that the same as locking your kids in? Should I be worried that social services will arrest me?
There's a difference between locking your kid in just so you won't have to deal with them and making sure that you're kid will be safe if they wake up during the middle of the night. We used the door handle with Caleb until he learned how to take his off, so nothing keeps him in his room now. Hope Landon's enjoying his bed.
